Identifying and Developing Emerging Leaders - what do they want, what do they need, what can be offered?
Our HR Circle
The HR Circle offers members an exclusive opportunity to discuss current challenges and developments within the industry and share expertise and experience with each other. Human Resources is no longer a job that simply "has to be done" or can be treated as an afterthought. In current times, we have seen the battle for talent, onshore and offshore, as well as staff retention, discussed more than ever. The average person changes their career three to seven times during their lifetime which puts additional pressure on the role of an HR professional - keeping staff engaged, and motivated and providing them with room for growth and development. Additionally, we deal with changes to laws, whether that's employment law, data privacy or else, and of course the implementation of artificial intelligence in the profession. Many companies don't have a diverse and large team in HR, so we are offering our member organisations and their respective HR professionals to meet and openly learn and share together. All our Circles are following the Chatham House Rules.
Session's Topic: Emerging Leaders
Our upcoming session with top speaker, Cindy Hurley Leister, International Executive Coach and ex-BASF HR leader, will focus on emerging leaders as an essential target group in companies' talent management. In the last decade a lot has changed on how to identify and develop top talent from an early stage. From traditional assessment and training to more individualised, asynchronous, on-the-job approaches. Not to mention intergenerational shifts in values and mindset around work itself. Cindy will present some observations and insights from her 20 year experience as a corporate HR leader and coach before opening the discussion among members.
Following the insightful discussion, there will be time to network with industry peers and expand your professional network.
