In order to open an account with a German bank, an identity check and a legitimacy check are required. This is stipulated in the German Money Laundering Act (GwG), which requires the identity of both natural and legal persons wishing to open an account (e.g. current account) in Germany to be verified. In addition, the German Fiscal Code (AO) requires a legitimisation check.
Thanks to an agreement between the German Banking Industry and the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), you have the opportunity to have these examinations conveniently carried out by us in Australia.
In an increasingly globalised world, intercultural skills are the key to successful project management and sustainable corporate success. Our intercultural workshops offer companies the opportunity to prepare their employees for the challenges of international co-operation and to strengthen their communication skills across cultural boundaries. In particular, we impart practice-orientated knowledge on cooperation between German and Australian companies and help to avoid intercultural misunderstandings.
Australia and Germany are considered countries with a high level of legal certainty, transparent corporate structures and reliable business standards. Nevertheless, it is advisable to carry out checks on new business contacts in order to make targeted use of opportunities and identify potential risks at an early stage.
Our company reports provide you with sound information about German and Australian companies and help you to make safe and successful business decisions.
Our Corporate Services team regularly participates in consultation days organised by various Chambers of Industry and Commerce throughout Germany. These events provide you with the opportunity to meet us in person for an individual consultation.
Please refer to our Event Calendar for upcoming consultation days in Germany.
