Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) is the economic development agency of the Federal Republic of Germany. The organisation informs and advises international companies setting up business in Germany. Furthermore, the GTAI supports German-based businesses seeking to expand in international markets with up-to-the-minute foreign trade information.
Germany Trade & Invest has a global network of employees who work closely with the German Chambers of Commerce (AHK). This cooperation aims to offer German exporters and potential foreign investors a central contact point for both country-specific market information and targeted consultancy services under the umbrella of the AHKs.
In Australia, GTAI is represented by Daniel Lenkeit. As of August 2024, Daniel will oversee Australia, New Zealand and the island states in the South Pacific.
In addition to attracting investors for the German market, GTAI reports on business opportunities in Australia and New Zealand for German companies. This includes market reports about various sectors such as mining, construction, agribusiness or energy.
