Sydney, 8. September 2023. After Dr Gabriele Rose left the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Australien) as Executive Director at the end of July 2023, Dr Christian Gross assumed the role of Interim Executive Director until the position is filled with a permanent successor.
Dr Gabriele Rose has taken on the role of Special Representative for the APAC Region of the DIHK. In this capacity, she is in active exchange with fellow German Chambers Abroad within the region and leads important topics for the region.
Dr Christian Gross is Dr Gabriele Rose's immediate successor. Dr Christian Gross arrived in Australia in mid-August and has gained a solid overview of the team and is looking forward to his new challenge. In his previous role as Head of Civil Law and Legal Affairs as well as Arbitration and Business Mediation at the DIHK, he already extensively dealt with constitutions and legal frameworks of German Chambers Abroad. "I am excited about my assignment abroad at AHK Australien and working with a dynamic team that enjoys a fantastic reputation within our network. I am eager to tackle and overcome new challenges as a team and to continue nurturing and strengthening government and member relations," he stated.
A permanent successor for the position as Executive Director is expected to being found earliest by the end of the year. The selection process has already begun and is being managed by the DIHK.
