Business Delegation for German Companies in the Maritime Industry to Australia as part of the Market Development Program for SMEs, 25-29 November 2024.

From 25-29 November 2024, the AHK Australien, in cooperation with the Association for Shipbuilding and Maritime Technology e.V. (VSM), on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, will conduct a business development trip focused on shipbuilding, marine, and offshore technology to Australia. This is a project-based funding measure and is part of the market development program for SMEs. The target group is primarily small and medium-sized German companies (SMEs).

The future of the maritime economy, marine, and offshore technology in Australia is characterised by digitalisation, efficiency increases, and decarbonisation. Driven by a growing demand for modern solutions in the maritime transport and production sector as well as in the field of offshore technologies, the industry is experiencing dynamic development. The market share of the shipbuilding industry and offshore technology is particularly strong in the country, but there is also a focus on innovative technologies for operation, propulsion, safety, and production in previously underrepresented maritime segments. The demand for modern ship and shipping technology, improved marine surveillance, and sustainable use of the seas is continuously increasing to meet the current and future demanding requirements in the maritime sector.
