Australia counts as one of the world’s most wasteful countries. Alarming statistics highlight, that waste generation is only said to increase due to urban sprawl and population increase in the years ahead. Whilst recovery and recycling rates are increasing steadily, many material recovery facilities are not yet adequately equipped.

State and territory governments are eager to tackle the challenges ahead – emphasised by the fact that ambitious policy frameworks have been put forth to accelerate Australia’s roadmap to a truly circular economy.
