As an established part of the Brisbane German Week, the event offers an attractive agenda of business-building topics and expert insight.

Themed “Trust – Gain, Regain, Repair”, this year’s German Business Day takes place October 8 in Brisbane. Trust has become a primary concern across all sectors and is a pivotal point for businesses to thrive. Its presence cements relationships by allowing people to live and work together, feel safe and belong to a group. Trust in a leader allows organisations and communities to flourish, while the absence of trust can cause fragmentation and conflict.

A series of presentations and panel discussions will help to gain new insights not only into much-discussed issues related to trust repair, but also to explore the role of trust as a source of competitive advantage.

Prof Nicole Gillespie, KPMG Chair in Organisational Trust and Professor at the UQ Business School, will conduct the opening keynote for the German Business Day. The detailed agenda and more information about this event is available on the website of the Brisbane German Week.

The German Business Day is organised jointly by the German Consulate in Brisbane, the Queensland Chapter of the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK), the German Australian Business Association (GABA) and the German-Australian Business Women Association (GABWA).
