German Week Melbourne
The German Week Melbourne returns for the second time - be ready for an eventful week from 20 to 27 October.
Organisations like the Goethe Institut, DAAD, GABWA, Deutsche Schule Melbourne, AHK, and many more have come together to celebrate German culture, community, and connection right here in Melbourne. Many businesses have jumped on board and are proudly contributing to events, hosting their own. It's a great week to come along, pick events based on your interests, and get to know the vibrant German culture!
About the Event
As part of German Week, we are excited to invite you to an afternoon of business networking at the International Chamber House, bringing together leaders from government and industry.
After hearing from government representatives, we will examine how organisations are leveraging technology to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and strengthen cybersecurity across their value chains during our panel discussion, "Digitalisation on a Global and Local Scale – A German Perspective".
Once a buzzword, digitalisation is now a core driver of efficiency and competitiveness. From automated manufacturing processes to AI-powered decision-making, businesses are increasingly turning to digital tools not only to optimise workflows but also to build resilience against ever-evolving operational and security risks.
The discussion will feature panellists from organisations such as Pilz, a global supplier of sensor, control, drive and software solutions for industrial automation and safety, InstaDeep, a pioneering AI company at the forefront of innovation and recently acquired by BioNTech and Siemens Mobility, a global leader in rail traffic technology, intelligent transport systems, rolling stock, and rail automation.
