While this is the first dedicated information session on the SGH hosted by AHK Australia, the arbitration framework presented is based on long‑established expertise within the German Chamber of Commerce network.
The session focuses on how the SGH operates in practice and in which situations arbitration can provide an efficient, structured and business‑oriented alternative to state court proceedings.
The Arbitration Court at the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGH) unites the long‑standing experience of the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IHKs) in the field of alternative dispute resolution under a central institutional framework. Supported by the global network of 79 IHKs and German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs) in 150 locations across 93 countries, the SGH offers structured arbitration proceedings designed for the needs of internationally active companies.
The SGH combines proven institutional expertise with modern, digital arbitration processes, placing particular emphasis on efficiency, clarity and practical applicability for businesses.
