As the energy transition moves from pilot projects towards large-scale implementation, the focus is shifting toward a critical question: how ready are our systems for industrial deployment at scale?
Join us for an exclusive Behind the Scenes look at CSIRO’s energy research facilities and laboratories - including the Centre for Hybrid Energy Systems, the FlowWorks Centre and CSIRO’s battery testing facilities, offering an insight into the applied research, testing environments, and integration challenges that underpin industrial-scale deployment.
Bringing together experts from industry, policy, and research, the event will explore how renewable expansion, transmission infrastructure and industrial demand can be better aligned to enable coordinated scaling across the energy system.
Discussions will focus on the system conditions needed to support deployment — including grid capability and transmission infrastructure as key prerequisites of investment.
We will also address coordination challenges between infrastructure planning and industrial transformation, as well as the role of policy frameworks and international research collaboration - in particular the EU–Australia Free Trade Agreement and Horizon Europe.
Light refreshments will be served.
