+61 (0)2 8296 0456 max.schnarr@germany.org.auAustralia offers German companies attractive prospects for growth, cooperation, and market entry. The market is considered stable, innovation-oriented, and closely connected to Europe economically. Shared principles such as the rule of law, reliable regulatory frameworks, and free trade provide a strong foundation for long-term business relationships.
The planned Free Trade Agreement between the European Union and Australia could further improve conditions for German companies. Key provisions include the reduction of trade barriers, easier market access, and more reliable competitive conditions.
Particular opportunities arise in areas such as renewable energy, raw materials and critical minerals, infrastructure, the healthcare sector, as well as mechanical engineering and technology. These are precisely the fields where numerous points of connection exist for internationally oriented German companies.
The IHK für Rheinhessen is therefore hosting a Round Table with our Deputy Executive Director & Head of Operations and Corporate Development, Max Schnarr, and Cornelia Camacho, our Corporate Services Manager. The focus will be on current developments surrounding the EU-Australia Free Trade Agreement, concrete market opportunities, and practical questions regarding entering or expanding business activities in Australia.
