+61 (0)2 8296 0425 juergen.wallstabe@germany.org.auWe are delighted to offer a symposium in Sydney as part of our mining delegation from Germany. The symposium brings together high-ranking representatives of German federal and state authorities, industry leaders, scientists and Australian interest groups to discuss the coal phase-out, mine remediation and regional change. Drawing on Germany's long experience with post-mining transformation, the event provides a platform for sharing insights, best practices and partnership opportunities relevant to Australia's current and future challenges in relation to transition.
The programme combines strategic perspectives, practical implementation experience and forward-looking approaches to developing new industries and sustainable value creation in former mining regions.
The event is designed as an interactive discussion and aims to provide insights into Germany's experience with post-mining transformation, which can serve as a basis for further strategy development, cooperation and engagement as Australia moves its own mining sector from policy to implementation.
All participants are invited to contribute their own questions and thoughts. The discussion will include speeches from German federal and state institutions as well as industry leaders.
