Background
Building on the success of the Hydrogen & Renewable Energy Delegation to Western Australia and the Hydrogen Delegation to Gladstone, our popular Energy Cluster delegation trip 2024 will be taking us to the Hunter Valley, Australia’s showcase for the energy transition.
The program includes a visit to Orica's facilities in Kooragang Island to see the Hunter Hydrogen Hub as well as the Port of Newcastle by boat to get insights into the future plans for this important hub. The delegation will visit AmpControl and tour AGL's decommissioned Lidell coal plant site that is transforming into the Hunter Energy Hub - including work force transition, possible solar with thermal storage, battery-firming assets, hydrogen and more.
Delegates will also touch base with the latest in research at CSIRO and University of Newcastle and have the opportunity to go on stage at the NewH2's Annual Hydrogen & Renewable Energy Conference!
Our objective is to create business to business opportunities for our members and in particular those from our Energy Cluster with substantial opportunities to network with key German-Australian Industry participants throughout the delegation. Delegates will also be given an opportunity to present their organisation to the delegation and site hosts.
