Background 

Building on the success of the Hydrogen Delegation to Germany in May 2023, we have prepared a delegation to visit different hydrogen-related sites in Germany ahead of the World Hydrogen 2024 Summit & Exhibition in May 2024. 

The delegation will explore the important relationship between German and Australian hydrogen industry and will allow you experience first-hand the world benchmarks in industrial technology and standards Germany has to offer. 

Our objective is to create business to business opportunities for our members and in particular those from our Energy & Hydrogen Cluster with substantial opportunities to network with key German-Australian Industry participants throughout the delegation.  

The program includes site visit and discussions with key German industry stakeholders such as Keyou and SFC Energy AG in Munich, Siemens Gigafactory in Berlin, RWE in Lingen and Covestro AG in Dormagen.  

We will also introduce you to government representatives to gain a better understanding of Germany’s Hydrogen Policies and Agenda by visiting the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action in Berlin.  

The program begins on Sunday, 5 May with a welcome dinner in Munich and ends on Friday, 10 May in northern Germany to allow travel to Rotterdam for the summit.   

We will provide you with accommodation in 4-star hotels, all transfers in Germany during the delegation and meals throughout the program.  

Participants will be a mix of key stakeholders interested in the future of Australian hydrogen industry.

• Day 1 Munich: Visit KEYOU, a manufacturer of hydrogen trucks, and SFC, a fuel cell manufacturer
• Day 2 Berlin: Meet with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, and tour the Reichstag and Siemens Electrolyser Gigafactory
• Day 3 Lingen: Visit RWE's GET H2 project 
• Day 4 Dormagen: Take a tour of Covestro's chemical plant
• Day 5 Dortmund: Explore WILO's hydrogen power plant and other sites.
