The German Ministry for Research, BMBF, announced the innovation and technology incubator HyGATE, a central initiative of the recently signed H2-ACCORD between Australia and Germany. HyGATE will be an Australian-based platform connecting stakeholders from research and industry from both countries to develop and pilot large-scale clean H2 demonstration projects under real-world conditions. HyGATE RnD will be the basis for building a German-Australian supply chain for clean hydrogen and contribute to growing the global hydrogen market. HyGATE will be supported with €50M /$50M respectively from both governments, with funding calls to be announced in coming months.
