Join us in Adelaide to visit BHP's copper projects in Carrapateena and Oak Dam and experience their mining operations first-hand while meeting BHP's operations team on site. Further company visits and a reception in Adelaide will provide you with the opportunity to engage directly with representatives from industry, research, and the state government, fostering long-lasting relationships.
Germany is rapidly advancing in e-mobility, energy storage, and green tech, driving demand for responsibly sourced raw materials and making international partnerships crucial.
The global shift to net-zero emissions relies on advanced technologies. These include renewables, electrification, and energy efficiency all of them rely on copper. This essential material is used in electric vehicles, batteries, renewable infrastructure, and smart grids. Australia is a key supplier of critical minerals like copper. BHP’s Carrapateena mine is already producing, with Oak Dam is currently under review. Both are major projects with long-term potential for new technologies.
This visit will focus on BHP’s copper assets at Carrapateena and Oak Dam. It will showcase progress in exploration, mining, processing, and planning.
Delegates will gain exclusive access to:
