Fraport AG is one of the leading international companies in the airport business and active at 29 airports across four continents. In 2023, Fraport welcomed more than 59.4 million passengers at Frankfurt Airport (FRA). While recovering from the effects of the pandemic, passenger numbers in 2023 were still below the pre-Covid levels seen in 2019, when more than 70.5 million passengers traveled via FRA. By contrast, cargo volumes in Frankfurt reached around 1,9 million tonnes in 2023. As a result, Frankfurt Airport ranks first among European airports for cargo.
