Boettcher Law

Boettcher Law is an Australian commercial law firm with offices in Sydney, Canberra and Frankfurt am Main. The firm was established in 2007 by Uwe Boettcher and acts for businesses on the contracts, the transactions and the disputes that decide where the money ends up.

Most of our work runs between Australia and German speaking Europe. Where a matter touches both legal systems, the German side is advised from our Frankfurt office under German law rather than passed to correspondent counsel and marked up, so the client deals with one team and one set of documents.

For German companies setting up or operating here, we advise on the entity and the registrations, act as resident director and public officer where the group has nobody in Australia yet, put Australian employment contracts and intellectual property protection in place, and run the commercial disputes and arbitrations that follow. Notarial work is done in house, which matters when a document signed in Australia has to be accepted by a German register or authority.
