Last week, our newly formed Innovation and Start-Up Committee met (virtually) for the first time. The initiative aims at bringing industry, research, and start- and scale-ups together. Our first meeting included representatives of member companies and universities, start-ups, and bilateral organisations such as the DAAD. We identified a few of the typical challenges around the topic, and are sure that the combined knowledge of this group will help to facilitate the exchange between start-ups and industry. We are also happy to announce that Karen Zwissler, in charge of Government Affairs and Business Development at SAP has agreed to chair the committee. Collaborative opportunities abound, and the focus of our work will be to translate these into actionable items.
