It is our mission to partner with international SMEs and subsidiary businesses to create accelerated growth in their business value and profitability, via the power of optimal cultural foundations. We bring a strong working understanding of German culture in business and the dynamics of optimising talent for today and tomorrow, when leading across the German-Australian business landscape. It is never too early to care about culture. Culture forms the critical backbone of any organisation and what its people achieve together. Fisher People in Culture is a talent-based consultancy with a focus on international SMEs and subsidiary businesses - particularly German businesses, delivering culture optimisation, talent development and talent acquisition solutions. For clients working within the German-Australian business context, culture creates a whole new level of complexity. Culture is more than the country you come from — national culture, organisational culture, team culture and personal culture all play a part in determining the success of leadership communication, connection and business outcomes. Understanding organisational culture and getting leadership right requires ongoing, conscious effort, combined with the right tools, insights and experience to understand what is really going on, the impact it’s having on your business, and how you can evolve into something different. Our culture optimisation and talent development solutions are intentionally designed to help clients understand organisational culture, build and adapt the culture they aspire to, whilst attracting and developing the leadership and talent that will deliver on business outcomes today and tomorrow. Over the years, we have partnered with business leaders and managers across a diverse range of markets and countries, with a specialisation in German businesses, creating practical outcomes underpinned by a deep understanding of how people think and behave in complex, diverse environments.
Merck worked with global design firm, Unispace, to create an innovative and creative office interior which brings to life Merck’s vibrant branding through purpose-built collaboration spaces, furnishings, aesthetic presentation and functionality. The DRIVENxDESIGN Award Program is the world’s largest network of design award programs and has been recognising outstanding projects from around Australia since 2010. The 2020 awards were announced during an online ceremony late last week. Merck Healthcare Managing Director for Australia/New Zealand and Country Speaker Leah Goodman said Merck was delighted to receive the award. The company moved into its Macquarie Park office in Sydney in 2019, enabling the company to bring more than 120 Sydney employees from its Healthcare and Life Science businesses under the same roof for the first time. “The office exemplifies Merck’s positioning and completely aligns with our vibrant brand and vision of research, innovation and creativity. To be surrounded by energy, colours and natural light enables our aspiration of creativity. As soon as you walk into the office you feel the atmosphere of collaboration, cohesion and fun,” Ms Goodman said. “It’s a very different environment to that which we were previously used to, and with its unique layout, staff now have access to a variety of meeting rooms and quiet spaces, as well as both indoor and outdoor discussion places. “Importantly, the flexible office design has allowed us to easily adapt to the ‘new normal’ of physical distancing and implement a phased return of staff to the office in a COVID-safe way, with staff feeding back to us how secure and comfortable they feel coming back to the office. “Despite this year’s challenges, Rebecca Lee (Merck Life Science Managing Director ANZ), and I are united in our goal for the Healthcare and Life Science teams to work closely together to further drive the success of our businesses and apply Merck’s science and technology to make life better for the Australian community.” Merck operates across three business sectors – Healthcare, Life Science and Performance Materials. Merck, a leading science and technology company, operates across healthcare, life science and performance materials. Around 56,000 employees in 66 countries, work to make a positive difference to millions of people’s lives every day by creating more joyful and sustainable ways to live. From advancing gene editing technologies and discovering unique ways to treat the most challenging diseases to enabling the intelligence of devices – the company is everywhere.
