Our HR Circle

The HR Circle offers members an exclusive opportunity to discuss current challenges and developments within the industry and share expertise and experience with each other. Human Resources is no longer a job that simply "has to be done" or can be treated as an afterthought. In current times, we have seen the battle for talent, onshore and offshore, as well as staff retention, discussed more than ever. The average person changes their career three to seven times during their lifetime which puts additional pressure on the role of an HR professional - keeping staff engaged, and motivated and providing them with room for growth and development. Additionally, we deal with changes to laws, whether that's employment law, data privacy or else, and of course the implementation of artificial intelligence in the profession. Many companies don't have a diverse and large team in HR, so we are offering our member organisations and their respective HR professionals to meet and openly learn and share together. All our Circles are following the Chatham House Rules.

Session's Topic: Positive Duty - Moving Beyond Risk Management

The HR Circle provides an invaluable platform for member companies to explore the pressing issues surrounding people and talent. It's an opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, share insights and explore emerging HR trends, challenges and opportunities. Our upcoming session with two top speakers, Yan Flageul, Associate Director and Padmini Dixit, Partner, both from Mazars, will focus on "Positive Duty - Moving beyond risk management". We'll be looking at the implications of the AHRC's recent enforcement and investigative powers, which came into effect on 12 December. These reforms empower the AHRC to investigate employers/PCBUs for potential breaches of positive duty requirements, aligning workplace protections with legislation that includes workplace health and safety and the Fair Work Act.

Following the insightful discussion, there will be time to network with industry peers and expand your professional network.
