The Falling Walls Lab is a platform for excellent young researchers, Bachelor, Master and PhD students, postdocs, young professionals, entrepreneurs and innovators from all disciplines from Australia. They get the opportunity to present their ground-breaking research projects, initiatives, innovative ideas or business models to peers and a distinguished jury from academia and business, chaired by Australia’s Chief Scientist Dr Alan Finkel. Each participant has three minutes on stage to present their work, answering the question: “Which are the next walls to fall?”.
The aim of the Falling Walls Lab is to foster scientific and entrepreneurial innovations and to promote the exchange between young scholars and professionals emerging from different fields of expertise. The Falling Walls Lab Australia will take place on 11 September 2018, at the Shine Dome in Canberra, hosted by the Australian Academy of Science supported by the German Embassy in Canberra. Associates include AT Kearney Sydney, the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GACIC), and a number of sponsors.
