AHK News Update
The Melbourne Office of the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce was delighted to welcome several new members to a working breakfast on 17 April 2018. About 11 new members followed our invitation and attended our New Member Breakfast at our premises at International Chamber House to hear about the Chamber’s services in more detail and enjoy a light breakfast. The small networking group gave each member the chance to introduce their business, products and services to the other new members and make some valuable connections.
Rolf Drohn, Executive Director at one of our Premium Partners Ernst and Young and Board Member of the Chamber, as well as Alicia Haesslein, Lawyer at one of our Premium Partners Hall and Wilcox, gave a short overview of membership benefits from a member’s point of view. They stressed the fact that a membership is a two-way street, and you will get out of it what you are prepared to put in.
Tina Thoms, Membership Director and Melbourne Branch Manager, offered an interesting insight into the Chamber’s work and supplied detailed information about our publications, consulting services, and other membership benefits. Caroline Stapleton, Event Manager in Melbourne, then gave a short overview about exciting, upcoming events, with a special focus on our flagship event, the APRC Business Summit and Gala on 21 September in Melbourne. The function concluded with networking over more coffee, tea and breakfast, offering a great opportunity to talk directly to the chamber staff and to share their expectations of the membership.
We look forward to a long lasting member relationship with our newest members and thank them for attending this breakfast event. Special thanks to Rolf Drohn and Alicia Haesslein for taking the time to speak so positively about the chamber and the benefits of membership.
