The German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, together with its member Mia Consulting Services, offers an exclusive half-day workshop on the opportunities that government business can present and how to leverage those opportunities for your business.

The 3-hour workshop aims at promoting the public sector, particularly the Victorian government, as a (new) business opportunity for companies. It will especially look at providing companies with a guideline on how look for, and then generate business opportunities with the government.

From marketing strategies and techniques, product description and customer service, Deirdre Diamante, Managing Director at Mia helps to understand government and provides a guideline on how to engage with it as well as how to market your organisation in the most effective way to grow your business into that segment.

In conjunction with SAP the workshop will also provide a practical perspective on engaging with the government. By the end of the workshop participants will get the government, are able to determine if a specific business opportunity is right for them and if so, how to market their product in the best way to win tenders and alike.

Topics covered in the workshop include:

- Identification of business opportunities in the public sector, primarily the Victorian government

- Places to look for relevant opportunities, e.g. pre-qualification registers

- Responding to Victorian government tenders

- Product and service description and how to market them effectively to the public sector

- Understanding your value proposition and customer service; and how to differentiate your business from others to be considered

- To bid or not to bid for a tender

Who should attend?

- Business that are interested in engaging with the Victorian Government and its agencies

- Businesses that seek to grow their business into the public sector

- Business that already engage with the public sector and wish to learn more
