Join us for another engaging Evening Forum on the topic of integrated value chains in manufacturing, following immediately after the Chamber’s 2019 AGM (separate registration required).

The Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre (AMGC)
transforms Australian Manufacturing to be more globally competitive and generate the demand for jobs. The focus to achieve this lies on the creation of manufacturing ‘value chains’, which include not just the production process itself, but the entire process from R&D, design, prototyping, production, distribution and sales.

Dr Jens Goennemann, Managing Director of AMGC, in his key note will elaborate why under this holistic approach manufacturing is still one of the most relevant business sectors in Australia, and how international collaboration and knowledge transfer along the value chain can offer new opportunities to foreign businesses.

Part two of the event will then showcase the Australian success story of a business with a highly integrated value chain. OmniTanker manufactures specialised tank container and road tanker equipment using advanced composite materials technology.

Join our fireside chat to learn how this business drives the entire process from R&D to exporting its finished product to markets such as the United States and Germany, amongst others, and what other businesses can learn from its successful approach.

Drinks and canapés will be served.
