We would like to draw your attention to an innovative scientific challenge for bright young minds - the Falling Walls Lab. The Labisa platform for excellent young researchers, Bachelor, Master and PhD students, postdocs, young professionals, entrepreneurs and innovators from all disciplines from Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Island Forum (PIF) Nations. They get the opportunity to present their ground -¬ breaking research projects, initiatives, innovative ideas or business models to peers and a distinguished jury from academia and business. Each participant has 3 minutes on stage to present their work, answering the question “Which are the next walls to fall?”
The aim of the Falling Walls Lab is to foster scientific and entrepreneurial innovations and to promote the exchange between young scholars and professionals emerging from different fields of expertise.
The Falling Walls Lab Australia will take place on 12 September 2017, at the Shine Dome in Canberra, hosted by the Australian Academy of Sciences supported by the German Embassy in Canberra. Associates include AT Kearney Sydney, the Australian National University, the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Royal Society of New Zealand and the German Embassy in Wellington.

Win a trip to Berlin
Falling Walls Lab take place all over the world each year. A distinguished jury selects the most outstanding presenter of each international Falling Walls Lab who qualifies directly to present at the Falling Walls Lab Finale in Berlin on 8 November 2017, and is also awarded a ticket to attend the international Falling Walls Conference in 9 November 2017, where some of the world's most prominent scientists present their breakthrough research www.falling‐walls.com. The winner if the Falling Walls Lab Australia will have their travel expenses to Berlin and their accomodation costs in Berlin on 8-9 November covered. The three winners of the Lab Finale in Berlin receive a cash prize and gibe their talks again on the grand stage of the Falling Walls Conference before 800 high-calibre guests from academia, research and business.
