JLT was proud to recently launch the ‘Women at JLT’ initiative - born to support the amazing 659 women who work for JLT across Australia.

André Louw, Chairman of JLT Australia and its Corporate and Social Responsibility Committee, (CSR), hosted the inaugural event for over 120 female colleagues, clients and insurers at JLT’s new Sydney office in Grosvenor Place.

JLT was honoured to be joined by Tricia Hobson, Global Vice Chair of Norton Rose Fulbright, Josephine Sukkar, Co-Founder, Principal & Chair of Buildcorp, Elizabeth Ann MacGregor OBE, Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, and Lynne Anderson, CEO of the Australian Paralympic Committee, who led an insightful panel discussion on the challenges women in business face – now and in the future.

Commenting on a memorable evening, André said, “Recognising that our female staff need active support to realise their professional ambitions, our CSR committee has developed Women@JLT. I am pleased to say as Chairman that JLT’s Board of Directors is fully supportive of the Women@JLT initiative and look forward to it being implemented throughout Australia as part of a greater program for advancing the careers of our female staff.”

Carlie Griggs, JLT Divisional Manager, Specialty said, “Our first event was an opportunity for female colleagues to engage with clients, connect with peers and listen to the inspiring stories of some of Australia’s most successful women. I look forward to helping expand the initiative across Australia with activities that drive the progression of women, forward.”

Women at JLT is a growing, thriving network to help over 500 women across Australia realise their full potential.
